You may change debit card daily spending limit to a maximum of SGD25,000 for VISA/NETS and SGD10,000 for cash withdrawal.

How do I use my new HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card?
Activate your card prior to your first use and before you travel each time by calling us to enjoy the features and benefits of your new HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card.

How do I get to enjoy no FX fee on my overseas purchases?
Simply fund your HSBC Everyday Global Account with the foreign currencies that you intend to spend and transact with your HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card. We will deduct the same transacted amount from your account without any FX fee.
Please note that you may be given the option to select debiting the overseas purchase in your home currency (i.e. Singapore dollar) or in foreign currency.
If home currency is selected, you will incur a Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) fee charged by the overseas bank with the overseas purchase, converted to the home currency and debited from your Singapore dollar currency account.
Would I also enjoy no FX fee for online purchases and cash withdrawal?
Yes, do ensure you are transacting in the supported foreign currencies by checking with the merchant before purchase and maintain sufficient balance in the respective foreign currency to enjoy no FX fee for your purchases and cash withdrawal. Please note that Renminbi (RMB) is not supported for card spends and cash withdrawal.

Yes. We will convert your overseas transaction amount using a prevailing rate that the bank determines and bill you in Singapore dollar.
Can I use my HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card if I have insufficient foreign currency balance?
Yes. We will convert your overseas transaction amount using a prevailing rate that the bank determines and bill you in Singapore dollar currency. However if you do not have sufficient Singapore dollar balance, we will decline the transaction.
How do I fund my HSBC Everyday Global Account?

What are the supported foreign currencies?
These includes Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Euro, Hong Kong Dollar, Japanese Yen, New Zealand Dollar, Sterling Pound, Swiss Franc and US Dollar. Please note that Renminbi (RMB) is not supported for card spends and cash withdrawal.
How do I transact on Renminbi (RMB) in my HSBC Everyday Global Account?
All withdrawals from any RMB Deposit Account, can only be done via foreign exchange conversion into non-RMB denominated currency(ies), except for transfer between a RMB Time Deposit Account and a RMB Everyday Global Account. RMB is not supported for card spend and cash withdrawal.
Can I use my HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card in China?
Yes. We will convert your transaction amount using a prevailing rate that the bank determines and bill you in Singapore dollar.
What should I do if I do not have foreign currency account in my HSBC Everyday Global Account?
You can open your desired foreign currency account using HSBC Online Banking, which will take 1 working day to set up. Once you see the foreign currency account being reflected on your Online Banking screen, you can proceed to fund your account immediately.
What option should I select on the overseas ATM screen for foreign currency cash withdrawals?
Generally, overseas ATM withdrawals will be deducted from your HSBC Everyday Global Account. However, if prompted, please select “Savings Account” to withdraw foreign currency cash overseas from your HSBC Everyday Global account. You will be able to withdraw cash directly from your foreign currency wallet on the condition that you have sufficient funds in your foreign currency wallet. Otherwise, the foreign currency cash withdrawal will be deducted from your SGD balance.
Do I have to pay for any annual card fee?
No, the HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card is extended to you for free.
Can I use my HSBC Everyday Global Debit Card locally?
Yes. You can make purchases using Visa or NETS, and make cash withdrawals. It comes with NETS FlashPay feature which acts as a transport card to pay for your public transport expenses.
If I already have a HSBC Debit Card, do I need to carry 2 different cards?
Now you can link your Current and/or Savings Account to your Everyday Global Debit Card by completing the Account Linkage section in the Account linkage request form. Debit card purchases will be from the primary account linked to your card i.e. the Everyday Global Account. For ATM withdrawals, you can choose between your primary account or any secondary accounts (up to 2 accounts) linked to the card. Secondary accounts can be current or savings accounts. Please note at non HSBC ATMs locally or overseas, if you have linked 2 or more accounts of the same type you may not be able to select the subsequent account, subject to the acquiring bank ATM setup.
How can I block my debit card via the HSBC Singapore app?
Simply log on to the HSBC Singapore app, select the 'Account' from home screen, tap on 'Manage cards' and then toggle on 'Block card temporarily' to block the debit card.
How can I unblock my debit card via the HSBC Singapore app?
Simply log on to the HSBC Singapore app, select the 'Account' from home screen, tap on 'Manage cards' and then toggle off 'Block card temporarily' to unblock the debit card.
How do I link my current and/or savings account to my Everyday Global Debit Card?
Now you can link your current and/or savings account to your Everyday Global Debit Card by completing the Account Linkage section in the Account linkage request form.
Can I activate multiple debit cards on the HSBC Singapore mobile app at one time?
You can activate any number of eligible HSBC personal debit cards via your app, but you can only activate them one at a time.
Will I immediately be able to use my activated debit card online or at merchant stores?
Yes you can, once you've activated it via the app.
My debit card has been lost or stolen, what should I do?
Log on to HSBC Singapore app and report your card as lost or stolen immediately.
Follow these steps to report your debit card as lost or stolen:
- Log on to HSBC Singapore mobile app, then select the account linked to your debit card.
- Tap on ‘Manage cards’, then tap on ‘Report lost or stolen card’.
- Select the card you want to report.
- Tap on confirm.
Once your debit card has been reported lost or stolen, we'll block it immediately and issue you a replacement card.
If the delivery address reflected on HSBC Singapore app is not correct then please temporarily block your cards on the app and submit your updated address via HSBC Online Banking. After your address has been updated, you can continue to submit the lost/stolen card request on the app. Or, you can call us on 1800-HSBC NOW (4722 669) from Singapore or (65) 64722 669 from overseas.
